Community meet-up in Delhi and our special Diwali trip (hint: 🪂🏔️)

Hey there,

I am flying to Indonesia soon for The Modern Nomad's first international trip! 😍✈️
Before that, I have got some exciting updates for you about a community meet-up and our next trip to the mountains.

We are headed to Bir, Himachal Pradesh this Diwali and it is going to be a special one because you get a chance to witness the Paragliding World Cup, an event that brings together elite pilots from around the globe. 🪂🏔️

Fly with us at Billing, India’s highest paragliding spot. We’ll visit the serene Palpung Sherabling Monastery, hike to the hidden Bangoru waterfall, and explore the lush forests of Rajgundha/ Barot Valley. End your day with stunning sunsets and authentic Himachali cuisine!

If you are an adventure-seeker and love spending time in the nature this trip is for you!

🗓️30th Oct - 2nd Nov 2024
₹14,999 onwards

Talking about the meet up, I am hosting a community meet-up in Delhi-NCR and would love to meet you in person if you're around! 😃

Details:

Date: 21st September
Venue: Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters, Deer Park
Time: 3:30 to 6 pm

I will be there the entire time but you can plan to come at your convenience. We can talk about travel, adventure, remote work, life after quitting a 9-to-5 job, or just catch up!
Please reply to this email if you’re planning to come so I can get an idea of how many people to expect.

That's it for this edition. We hope you enjoyed it.

🚨 LAST CALL FOR LADAKH! Is it safe? YES. Is it epic? Also YES. Hey there, We’ve had a lot of questions lately about the upcoming Ladakh road trip – and it’s time we clear the air. Here’s the deal: ❄️ Ladakh ≠ Kashmir 1️⃣ Ladakh is a separate Union Territory It has its own administration and a completely different ground reality. 2️⃣ Pahalgam to Leh is over 500 km away That’s a 14+ hour mountain drive — a different region altogether. 3️⃣ No history of unrest in Ladakh There's been no history...

Swipe Right on Ladakh: Perfect Roads, Wild Views, Zero Red Flags Last year, I hiked to Annapurna Base Camp solo—no guide, no group, just me, my backpack, and a whole lot of dal bhat. 🥾I tracked every rupee, and yep, it turned out way cheaper than an organized group tour. But here’s the thing: DIY trekking only works if you’ve done a few already, know how to plan, don’t panic easily, and can handle altitude sickness..For first-timers or not-so-seasoned adventurers, paying that extra money for...
